The Primrose police had a busy week arresting 28 suspects from September 11 to 17.
This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.
The accused were arrested on a number of different charges, including armed robbery, rape, dealing in drugs, possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, driving under the influence of alcohol, murder, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, dealing in liquor without a license and interfering with police duties.
The Primrose SAPS station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.
Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons, while others paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
