Drugs continue to be a problem in Primrose.
A hotspot for drugs, identified by the Primrose police, is Oak Avenue.
While officers from the Primrose Police Station were patrolling the area, recently, they received a call from a business owner.
“The business owner informed police that he had found 3kgs of a white substance that he believed was crystal methamphetamine in his employee’s possession,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
A 33-year-old woman was arrested and charged with possession of drugs.
During questioning at the Primrose Police Station the suspect claimed that the drugs were not hers and that they were given to her by a friend for safekeeping.
She will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
