The Primrose police urge the community to take note of several different vehicles that are believed to have been used in the commission of crimes in the area.

2. Most liked photo on Instagram

Germiston City News’ receptionist Christina Radebe read her copy of the latest GCN. Did you get yours? The photo was liked 13 times.

3. Celebrating 50 years in style

Guests at Dinwiddie Primary School’s recent Mother and Daughter Tea Party, held at the school, were dressed to the nines and ready to celebrate. “This was one of the events held in celebration of the school’s 50th birthday. This event was aimed at celebrating the girls and their mothers, which tied in well with Women’s Month,” said the department head of guidance, Jennifer Kingsley.

4. Abducted businessman outsmarts kidnappers

Quick thinking by a businessman led to his escape when he was kidnapped and ransom was demanded from his family, recently. Didi Bosawa (34), a Rosettenville resident, is lucky to be alive after four men ambushed, kidnapped and tortured him to get money from him. Bosawa said he was in Bree Street attempting to sort out a debt issue with a man he thought was his friend. He said he owed the friend money and was meeting him to arrange a plan to repay him the R9 000 he owed.

5. Mother wants answers about son’s death in police cells

For Antoinette Beukman every day is a struggle to come to terms with her son Wesley Schultz’s death. The 26-year-old died recently in the Elsburg Police Station’s holding cells after he was arrested on a charge of domestic violence. Beukman told the GCN that Schultz had apparently been taken to the cells at about 3.30pm and at 5.40pm was found dead.
