Collect your renewed firearm licence

Don’t leave your firearm licence lying at the Primrose Police Station. Go and collect it.

The Primrose police are appealing to members of the community who applied for the renewal of their firearm licences, to visit the station.

“There are many licences at the station waiting to be claimed by owners,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose SAPS.

“Some of these were received more than six months ago.”

The police took the initiative to send applicants messages via their cellphones, as well as to drop letters at their houses but there has been no response from the applicants.

“If the applicants do not have time to visit the station they can send someone with proof of identity to collect the licence or make enquiries about the licence on their behalf,” said Maome.

The firearm office is open between 8am and 4pm during the week.
