Between August 7 and 13, the Primrose police arrested 40 people.
The suspects were arrested for various crimes, including business break-in, theft, possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, malicious damage to property, attempted murder and shoplifting.

Primrose police station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.
Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
Some of the cases were postponed while others paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
