Din-Al-View CPF to hold special elective general meeting

Calling all Germiston Sector Five residents to attend this meeting.

The Din-Al-View CPF is the link between the SAPS, the residents and employees of Germiston Sector Five.

The headquarters of the CPF Cluster is the Germiston Police Station.

Sector Five is the area of Germiston bounded by the N3 highway to the west, the N17 highway to the north and east and the railway line towards the south.

This includes Dinwiddie, Albemarle, Castleview, Union and Norton Small Farms – all east of the N3.

Membership of the CPF is open to anyone residing or working within the sector.

There are no fees payable to become a member of the CPF.

Sector Five has an active, elected committee that oversees the day-to-day running of the forum.

A special elective general meeting will be held on August 30 at 6.30pm at Dinwiddie High School to replace three members who recently resigned.

All CPF members and residents are encouraged to attend this meeting and vote for their representatives on the committee to perform the vital task of improving the safety of the sector.

Residents, if not already registered CPF members, may vote on presentation of proof of identity and residence within the sector.

To become a registered member of the Din-Al-View CPF contact the public relations officer Louise Combrink on 072 236 6721.

Any member of the CPF may nominate another member to stand for election to the committee by completing a nomination form at the meeting.

If a member is unable to attend and vote at the meeting, a proxy form may be completed to enable another member to vote on their behalf.

These forms will be available from the August 24 to 28 at OK Grocer at Stone Arch Square in Castleview, SW Security, Albemarle Pharmacy and Merv’s Hardware in Hatfield Avenue.

The completed proxy forms can be emailed to Barry Dijkman, the media liaison officer at barry.dijkman@gmail.com.

The closing date to submit proxy forms is August 28 at 6.30pm.

All residents and CPF members are requested to attend this meeting as a matter of importance for the safety of the public.
