Young girl knocked over outside Dinwiddie school

ER24 paramedics attended to a young girl after she was injured yesterday.

A 14-year-old girl was left injured on Wednesday morning when she was knocked over by a light motor vehicle outside her school in Baldock Avenue, Dinwiddie.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 9.10am and found the young girl on the school premises.

Paramedics assessed the patient and found that she had sustained a serious injury to her leg.

She was treated for her injury and provided with pain-relief medication before she was transported to Tambo Memorial Hospital for further care.

It is understood that the girl had been knocked over when she apparently stepped off the bus.

The girl was then carried inside the school by the driver of the light motor vehicle.

Local authorities will be investigating the matter.
