Suspects brought to book

Primrose police arrested 37 suspects for various crimes in the area.

It was another busy week for the Primrose police, who arrested 37 suspects, between July 10 and 16.

The suspects were arrested for various crimes, including armed robbery, possession of drugs, dealing in dagga, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, theft, possession of house break-in implements, business break-in and theft, driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless and negligent driving and shoplifting.

The Primrose police’s station commander Col Albertina Vesi thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and some of the cases were postponed.

Some of the suspects paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
