Ward crime summit to be held
Join in the fight against crime by attending this informative crime summit.
Members of the public and local businesses in Ward 37 are invited to attend the Ward 37 Council Crime Summit.
The event takes place on July 29, from 8am to 2pm, at the council chambers situated at the Alberton Customer Care Centre, Alwyn Taljaard Street in Alberton.
With crime becoming an ever increasing problem, it is important for all people to participate in the summit.
Representatives from the Germiston and Alberton SAPS, the Germiston and Alberton CPFs, government organisations, private security companies, the EMPD, Ward 37 community members, business owners, religious bodies, schools and community organisations will all be present at the crime summit.
Some of the topics to be discussed at the summit include causes of crime in Ward 37, the role of the CPF in the ward, the role of businesses in crime prevention, specific crimes, drugs and prostitution as well as the training of community members in crime fighting strategies and tactics.
