Man charged with attempted murder

Katlehong police arrest 28-year-old suspect for attempted murder, after shooting in Likole Section.

A 28-year-old man was recently arrested in the Likole Section of Katlehong for attempted murder.

“Police were called to the scene after it was alleged that the accused shot a man,” explained Capt Mega Ndobe, Katlehong police spokesperson.

The victim was found with a bullet wound in the upper body and taken to hospital.

The suspect was arrested on the scene and a licenced firearm was seized.

“The motive behind the shooting is unknown and police are investigating,” said Ndobe.

The suspect was detained at the Katlehong Police Station pending his appearance in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.
