Investigations lead to conviction

Nancy Malesa (27) was found guilty of culpable homicide and sentenced to four years in prison, in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, recently.

Primrose SAPS detective Const Robert Ragoja was pleased to know that Nancy Malesa (27) had, recently, been found guilty of culpable homicide.

Ragoja had been investigating the murder which took place in the Makause informal settlement in September 2016.

The accused was found guilty in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and sentenced to four years in prison.

She was also declared unfit to possess a firearm.

The Primrose police’s station commander Col Albertina Vesi thanked Ragoja for his hard work and dedication and encouraged other detectives to learn from his example.

“People must learn that you can’t run away from the hands of the law, if you commit a crime, the police will hunt you until you are brought to book,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
