Elsburg SAPS Vispol members, in partnership with security officers from various security companies, rooted out crime in Wadeville, recently.
During the patrol, Dekema Mall was visited.
“As they were searching people loitering in the area, one man ran away from the officers,” said Const Daphney Phooko, communications officer for the Elsburg SAPS.
“The police and security officers gave chase and apprehended the man.”
“He had a blue plastic bag in his hand and when they searched the bag they discovered dagga in it.
“They also found money in his pocket.”
The officers arrested the 30-year-old man and he was charged with dealing in dagga.
