Germiston Red Cross reaches out to the destitute

Red Cross brings warmth to those in need.

The Germiston Branch of the South African Red Cross Society distributed blankets to people sleeping in alleyways, on roof tops, in taxi ranks and on the pavements, recently.

The Germiston and Alberton SAPS led the way and identified known areas where people sleep at night.

The distribution was done on the first really cold night of the season and the beneficiaries were extremely grateful.
