Drug bust in Dukathole

Germiston SAPS Task Team members arrested a man in possession of dagga.

Germiston SAPS Task Team members spotted a man smoking dagga in his car, on May 25, while patrolling in Dukathole.

The members approached the man and asked him to step out of his vehicle for a search.

While searching, the officers found three plastic packages containing dagga.

“Three bullets were also found in the suspect’s car,” said Capt George Raphulu, head of communications for the Germiston SAPS.

“The suspect was arrested and taken to the Germiston Police Station.”

Raphulu also said that while the police were busy questioning the suspect, a 39-year-old man came to the police station.

“The man had brought R2 000 in cash, to bribe the police officers to release his friend,” said Raphulu.

“The man was arrested on a charge of bribery.

“Our station commander, Brig Nkensani Lemba, praised the members for good work.”
