Busy week for Primrose police

Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

Thirty-three suspects were arrested in Primrose between May 22 and 28.

This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the Primrose Police Station.

The accused were charged for a number of different crimes.

Charges included; business break-in, possession of drugs, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of suspected stolen property, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, possession of a dangerous weapon, escape from lawful custody, murder, attempted murder, theft, intimidation, shoplifting and warrant of arrest.

The Primrose Police Station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes and encouraged officers to keep up the hard work.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and some of the cases were postponed.

Some of the suspects paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
