Print Exclusive – Maritz, executive head of St Catherine’s School, shares his journey

Dennis Maritz took over as executive head of St Catherine’s School, recently.

A new face is now welcoming learners to the halls of St Catherine’s School.

Dennis Maritz became the executive head of the school recently and has slowly been adjusting to his new role.

The GCN sat down with Maritz to get to know him and hear more about his plans for the school.

Maritz is no stranger to the Germiston community, having worked at Germiston High School as deputy head many years ago.

“When I was still working in state education I was deputy head at Germiston High for two years, early on in my career.

“So though St Catherine’s is new to me, the community and area are not,” he said.

Find out more about Maritz, his lengthy career and plans for the school in this week’s print exclusive article, in this week’s Germiston City News out on Wednesday (May 17)
