Join Hands Day aims to unite

Visit an old age home or children’s home and celebrate Join Hands Day.

When was the last time you did something for someone to show appreciation and, well, just out of the goodness of your heart?

If you have to think about it then maybe it is a bit too long ago.

Today (Saturday) is Join Hands Day.

Many might think it is a day all about shaking the hands of strangers you meet in the street, well, it is not.

Join Hands Day is dedicated to attempting a union in communities between the older generation and the younger generation.

This day truly brings communities together to recognise the various ways in which we all aid each other.

Celebrate this day by starting a dialogue between the old and the young in an effort to plant a seed of communication which can exist for years to come.

Visit an old age home or children’s home in the area and show that regardless of age we are all humans who need to be appreciated and loved.

If you think hard enough, you will come up with great ideas on how to connect and communicate with the elderly or the younger ones.
