Police make their presence felt

Katlehong police take to the streets of Katlehong to increase their visibility in the area.

Under the leadership of Katlehong Police Station commander Brig Phumla Mdlankomo, officers took to the streets of Katlehong to increase their visibility, recently.

“Members from all the departments within the station joined forces for the campaign, embarking on a visibility convoy at 6pm in the evening and travelling through Section Three and Four of Katlehong,” said Capt Mega Ndobe, of the Ekurhuleni West cluster.

The project is just one of many in Mdlankomo’s plan to improve service delivery in the community, and she hopes that officers’ continued efforts will encourage the residents to join the fight against crime and make a difference in their community.

“Communities are encouraged to report any criminal activities to the police.

“Don’t wait until you become a victim of crime, do take a stand against it,” Mdlankomo said during the campaign.

The community is asked to call the station on 011 617 3706 or Crime-Stop on 08600 10111 to report any suspicious activity or crimes.
