Passengers advised to stay in contact with SAA due to strike

O R Tambo International Airport issues statement on SAA strike.

Management of O R Tambo International Airport is aware of the strike by cabin crew of SAA from today and is closely monitoring the situation.

“We are in close contact with the airline to ensure that we are prepared for all eventualities arising from the strike,” said Leigh Gunkel-Keuler, senior manager corporate affairs, O R Tambo International Airport.

O R Tambo International Airport hopes for minimal disruption to airport operations and that the relevant parties can resolve the situation effectively as soon as possible.

“However, the airport has contingency plans in place and we hope for minimal disruption in order to ensure business continuity,” said Gunkel-Keuler.

Passengers are advised to stay in contact with the airline for updates on the status of flights and bookings.
