1. Man shot and killed in Webber Road: https://bit.ly/2oG5Z0Q

Germiston police have confirmed that they are investigating a murder after a recent shooting in Webber Road, in Lambton. “Officers were called to the scene of a shooting at about 1pm. Upon their arrival they found a 50-year-old man in a pool of blood, in a double-cab bakkie. He had been shot and killed,” said Capt George Raphulu, head of communications for the Germiston SAPS.

2. Elderly man found dead, woman in critical condition in Wychwood: https://bit.ly/2pa5sVQ

When the neighbours of an elderly couple, living in Deutzia Road, Wychwood, recently became concerned as they hadn’t seen the couple, they contacted the Primrose SAPS to investigate. Upon their arrival at the home at about 11am, the police discovered the couple, both in their 70s, tied up inside the house.

3. Sixteen injured in N3 accident: https://bit.ly/2pdDCZh

Passengers of a mini-bus taxi were transported to hospital after one of the vehicle’s tyres burst on the N3 southbound between the N17 split and the Grey Avenue off-ramp, last Tuesday. “The mini-bus overturned and landed on the embankment after the driver lost control of the vehicle,” said Lieut Kobeli Mokheseng, media liaison officer for the EMPD.

4. Man confesses to Sunnyridge house break-in and theft: https://bit.ly/2obcsxM

A 34-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property. Local security officers and a community patroller assisted in the arrest, which took place in Harlem Street, in Gerdview – after receiving a report of a house break-in and theft in Koedoe Street, in Sunnyridge.

5. Coral Street shooting leaves one dead and two injured: https://bit.ly/2ouM0SZ

The Primrose police have opened several different cases after an attempted house robbery and shooting in Coral Street, in Woodmere, which left one man dead and two more wounded. “It is reported that four men, aged between 20 and 40 years old, used an Audi A4 to ram open the property’s gate,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, the communications officer for the Primrose police.
