Those who fell in battle were remembered at the annual Wits Week Parade.

The Witwatersrand Rifles Regiment recently held its annual Wits Week Parade.

This year the regiment commemorated the battle of Sole Caprara, April 15 and 16, 1945 in which the regiment suffered grievous losses.

The parade was led by a combined band of the Witwatersrand Rifles and the Kempton Park Pipes and Drums and the regiment had two platoons on parade under the command of Capt Sidwell Ramoshaba.

In attendance was the Honorary Col John Job, the Officer Commanding Lieut-Col Gcobani Mazibuko and distinguished guests.
