Man confesses to crime, leads police to accomplice

Two men were recently arrested by the Primrose police in connection to Primrose business break-in.

Two men, aged 22 and 29 years respectively, were recently arrested by the Primrose police for a business break-in.

“The business break-in was reported to the Primrose police by the business’ owner.

“He claimed that he had found a number of items missing from the company,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

He gave police the address of one of his employees, whom he suspected was involved in the theft.

“Officers travelled to the address given and found the man, and he was questioned,” said Maome.

The accused confessed to police that he and a friend had broken into the business and stolen a number of items from his employer.

“He took them to an address in Malvern where the second suspect was found,” said Maome.

Police seized a number of items during the arrest including mag rims and wire.

Both men were arrested and held at the Primrose Police Station.

They will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
