Technicians attend to the Germiston CBD water interruption

Metro is working on the water outage in the city.

The metro wishes to inform consumers in Germiston that the water supply interruption affecting parts of the area is due to a major burst on the main water pipe which occurred yesterday, April 10, in Keswick Road in the Germiston CBD.

Rand Water technicians worked overnight to isolate the affected pipe to make way for repairs that are currently underway.

The affected areas include: Primrose, Germiston CBD, Wadeville, Lambton and Roodekop Extension.

While repairs are being carried out, industries in the affected areas are urged to decrease or stop production as a precautionary measure.

The metro apologises for the inconvenience.
