The Primrose police are appealing to the community to come forward and claim their property.

“We appealing to the rightful owner of several items recovered during a recent stop-and-search to come forward and claim them,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The items were seized in a stop-and-search along Main Reef Road, in Primrose.

“Police noticed a man pushing a wheelbarrow, but when he saw police he dropped the wheelbarrow and ran,” said Maome.

Officers were caught off guard by his reaction and decided to inspect the wheelbarrow more closely.

They found one large black DXN PRO speaker, two medium black DXN speakers, a blue heavy duty grinder and a school bag containing house break-in implements.

The items were taken to the Primrose Police Station.

“The rightful owner of the items is requested to bring their proof of purchase to the station to claim the items.

“The items will not be handed over if proof cannot be supplied,” said Maome.
