Germiston detective praised for his hard work

Germiston SAPS detective worked hard in investigating a murder case.

The hard work of Germiston SAPS detective, Const Almighty Mashigo, resulted in the conviction of Antony Bates.

Bates was arrested on charges of murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm in January, last year.

The 36-year-old man has been kept in custody at the Boksburg Correctional Services since his arrest.

He was found guilty in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, in February, and sentenced to 20 years imprisonment.

Germiston SAPS station commander, Brig Nkensani Lemba, praised Mashigo for his hard work in investigating the case.
