Busy weekend for Katlehong police
Members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit arrested 29 suspects for various crimes over the weekend.
It was a busy weekend for members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit with the arrest of 29 suspects.
The accused were arrested on a number of different charges during stop-and-search operations held in various parts of Katlehong.
Charges included:
- Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 3
- Theft: 2
- Common assault: 2
- Shoplifting: 1
- Possession of dagga: 7
- Driving under the influence of alcohol: 7
- Drinking alcohol in public: 7
All of the suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons, some paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
