A heated argument between husband and wife allegedly ended in a vicious attack in the Mavimbela section of Katlehong, recently.
It is alleged that a 22-year-old woman stabbed her 30-year-old husband in both arms during an argument over money.
“The victim claimed that he asked his wife for transport money, so that he could get to work, but she refused and they began to fight.
“The argument became heated when he called a friend to ask for a lift,” explained Capt Mega Ndobe of the Ekurhuleni West cluster.
The woman was arrested shortly after the incident while her husband was taken to a local clinic for treatment.
The accused will appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on a charge of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
