Alert: Public meeting to discuss Angelo informal settlement move to border Marlands

A proposed housing development will see residents from the Angelo informal settlement being moved onto allegedly unsafe old mining land.

The Primrose Sector One CPF and the Ward 92 councillor Tiziana Plaskitt will be holding a public meeting this Saturday, March 25, to discuss the proposed housing development in Marlands Extension 45.

The development will see residents from the Angelo informal settlement in Boksburg being moved to the piece of land on Main Reef Road.

The land is old mining land, which poses a danger to them.

The meeting will be held at Hoërskool Goudrif at 3pm.

A petition for residents to sign will be available at the meeting.

All are welcome to attend.

For more information contact Plaskitt on 082 864 9562 or the Primrose Sector One CPF chairman Debbie Watkins on 074 739 8883.
