Update: Model secures an agent
Tedstoneville model is excited about the recent meeting she had with her new agent.
Xolelwa Bentele (22) is thrilled with the recent development in her young modelling career.
Urban Lites Productions has come on board as Xolelwa’s agent.
This was after the owner of Urban Lites Productions, Morenita Holloway, read Xolelwa’s story (GCN, March 3).
“I was inspired when I read Xolelwa’s story in the GCN. What I loved most was that she also gives back to the community,” said Morenita.
“Her selfless acts coupled with my love for helping people encouraged me to reach out and offer my services to her.”
Morenita has 19 years of experience in the film industry and she wants to use it to assist Xolelwa wherever possible.
“Although I started Urban Lites Productions in 2010, I have been working in the industry prior to that and I will take what I have learnt over the years and guide her as a good agent should,” she said.
Xolelwa said she was beside herself when she heard the news from Morenita.
“I am overwhelmed and humbled by all of this,” she said.
“Just as I was asking myself what the next step is, this opportunity presented itself.
“I am excited about the future and working with Morenita.”
The GCN caught up with the pair at their first meeting.
Morenita took photos of Xolelwa and registered her in her books. It was a pleasant meeting with fruitful discussions.
