The SAPS in Primrose has asked the community to be on the lookout for several vehicles allegedly being used in crimes in the area. The community was encouraged to call the Primrose SAPS on 011 842 0548, or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 if they spotted any of the vehicles.

2. Still no justice for Sun Street murder victims: https://bit.ly/2niw4TU

The family of Graham Edwards and his partner José Perez Alvarez are still looking for closure almost two years after the pair were brutally murdered in their Sun Street, Fishers’ Hill home. They feel they have been shifted from pillar to post and that no one is willing to help them find answers.

3. Residents left with nothing after fire destroys Driehoek home: https://bit.ly/2nvitoi

Flames licked the air as the old house in Driehoek Road, Driehoek, burnt in the early hours of the morning. The fire took over after panicked residents ran to get water from the taps, only to discover that they were dry. “Only later when the house was fully aflame did we discover that the water had been turned off at the mains. By that time it was too late and we are now left with no place to stay,” said David Moaga, a long-time resident at the house.

The eighth edition of the Nissan Easter Festival is set to be the best yet – not only for horse riders and horse lovers, but also for friends and families from far and wide. Equestrian athletes from countries such as Zimbabwe, Botswana, Swaziland, Zambia and Namibia will be joining the hundreds of South African riders who will be competing in a wide range of disciplines, such as showing, equitation, dressage and showjumping, at the Kyalami Equestrian Park, from April 8 to 17.

Protesting metered taxi drivers blocked the R24 East, causing major delays for motorists travelling towards OR Tambo International Airport, recently, the Kempton Express reported.
