Man nabbed for alleged drunk driving in Zinnia Street

Primrose police arrest 32-year-old man for alleged drunk driving.

During a recent patrol in Zinnia Street, in Primrose, officers from the Primrose Police Station stopped a 32-year-old man.

“Officers stopped the man after noticing him driving recklessly,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

When they approached the vehicle they noticed that the man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

“Police became more suspicious when the man struggled to talk to them and could hardly stand when asked to exit the vehicle.

“They searched the vehicle and found bottles of liquor,” said Maome.

He was arrested and taken to hospital for blood samples.

“The accused was later taken to the Primrose Police Station where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol,” said Maome.
