Despite last Saturday’s wet and cold weather, the community of Germiston showed their support for Cansa, by supporting the city’s three Cansa Shavathons, held at various venues in Germiston. The Cansa Shavathon is an annual event where funds are raised through shaving and spraying participants’ hair. Lambton-based Fortitude Hair and Beauty Salon raised R4 620, Fishers’ Hill-based Mamba Security raised R3 500, and DJL Hair Studio, Mike’s Kitchen, Germiston Rotary Anns and Addicted to Muscle raised R2 200.
