Police target criminals in Primrose

The Primrose police arrested 18 suspects in the last week of February according to the station’s latest arrest statistics.

According to the latest arrest statistics released by the Primrose Police Station 18 suspects were arrested in Primrose in the last week of February.

The suspects were charged with a number of different crimes.

Charges included, dealing in liquor without a licence, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, possession of suspected stolen property, theft, driving under the influence of alcohol, murder, business robbery, possession of drugs, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, theft of a motor vehicle and arson.

The Primrose police’s station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons, others will appear in court soon and some paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
