Man to spend 15 years in prison for murder

Suspect set to spend 15 years in prison after being found guilty of an August 2015 murder.

Mchazeleni Sithole (27) was found guilty of an August 2015 murder and sentenced to 15 years in prison in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, recently.

It is reported that the man stabbed and killed the 29-year-old victim in the Sakhile informal settlement, in Katlehong.

“The man sustained injuries to the upper body during a fight with Sithole and died on the scene,” said Capt Mega Ndobe, of the Ekurhuleni West Cluster.

He was arrested only few hours after the crime by Sgt Sibongile Sibuyi, who was commended on his dedication and hard work.

“A job well done to the investigating officer for working day and night to ensure the success of this case,” said Ndobe.
