Stop-and-search yields results

The Katlehong police held a stop-and-search operation in the area, last Tuesday.

During the operation officers from the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit arrested nine suspects for various crimes.

Charges included, malicious damage to property, shoplifting, possession of stolen goods, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of dagga and suspicion of being illegal immigrants.

All of the arrested suspects appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
