Busy week for Primrose police

The Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

The Primrose police continued their efforts to curb crime in Primrose, arresting 33 suspects from February 6 to 12.

This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.

The accused were arrested for several different charges.

Charges included, dealing in liquor without a licence, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, possession of suspected stolen property, theft, housebreaking and theft, driving under the influence of alcohol, attempted murder, business-breaking, shoplifting, contempt of court and contravention of a protection order.

The Primrose police’s station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons, while others will appear in court soon, and others paid admission of guilt fines and were released.
