Police target criminals in Katlehong South

Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit makes their presence felt in Katlehong South.

In a continued effort to address crime in Katlehong South the Katlehong SAPS Crime Prevention Unit held a stop-and-search operation recently.

The operation aimed to make the community aware of the police’s presence in the area.

During the stop-and-search officers arrested 14 suspects, on a number of different charges.

Charges included, common assault, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, malicious damage to property, intimidation, robbery, warrant of arrest and possession of dagga.

All the accused were held at the Katlehong South Police Station pending their appearance in court.

The suspects later appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
