Top domestic worker crowned at Hirsch’s Meadowdale

Hirsch’s Meadowdale hosted the East Rand Domestic Worker of the Year High Tea.

To celebrate the heroines in the home around the country, Hirsch’s has been running a Domestic Worker of the Month competition, whereby employers nominate their domestic workers for the title.

The competition culminates in a Domestic Worker of the Year High Tea, with the winner receiving a R5 000 voucher from Hirsch’s.

Hirsch’s Meadowdale recently hosted their Domestic Worker Finalists High Tea for women from the East Rand.

Upon arrival the women were greeted with some lovely refreshments, followed by a scones and bread demonstration from Smeg’s talented chefs.

Margaret Hirsch, chief operations officer of the Hirsch Group, gave the women an inspiring talk on how hard work pays off, before announcing the winners.

The winners are all talented individuals who had amazing motivations from their employers as to why they are so deserving of the award.

The East Rand Domestic Worker of the Year is Catrine Masemola.

In second place came Catherine Changu and in joint third place were Martha Maredi, Anna Khasu and Regina Ntlokoana.
