Police target criminals in Primrose

The Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

The Primrose police continued in their efforts to crack down on crime in the area with the arrest of 37 suspects.

The arrests were made from January 9 to 20, according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.

The accused were arrested on a number of charges.

Charges included possession of drugs, dealing in liquor without a licence, common assault, business-breakins and theft, shoplifting, warrant of arrest, statutory rape, rape, attempted armed robbery, malicious damage to property and theft.

The Primrose police’s station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons, while others will appear in court soon.
