Twenty-six nabbed in six days

The Primrose Police Station shares its latest arrest statistics.

The Primrose police continued their efforts to crack down on crime in the area, arresting 26 suspects in six days.

This is according to the arrest statistics released by the station over the festive season.

The accused were arrested for a number of different crimes.

Charges included: driving under the influence of alcohol, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, business breaking and theft, possession of drugs, dealing in liquor without a license, attempted robbery, common assault, malicious damage to property and contempt of court.

The Primrose police station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons, while others will appear in court soon.
