Primrose police arrested 19 suspects in the Primrose area from December 5 to 11.
This is according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.
The accused were arrested for a number of different crimes including possession of drugs, dealing in liquor without a licence, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of a hijacked motor vehicle, attempted murder, shoplifting and theft.
The Primrose police station commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.
Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons, while others will appear in court soon.
