Make a difference and get involved with your local CPF

Germiston Central CPF appeals for sponsorship and thanks community for participation.

Pine Pienaar, the public relations officer for the Germiston Central CPF has a message for all residents and business owners who fall in the CPF’s jurisdiction.

This includes Sector One (Germiston CBD and Gosforth Park), Sector Two (Dukathole), Sector Three (Delville), Sector Four (Lambton Klip) and Sector Five (Din-Al-View).

“On behalf of the CPF’s executive committee I thank each and every individual who had some involvement/participation in combating crime in the area during the past year.

“Hopefully more and more involvement will occur in 2017 as together we can and will make a difference,” he said.

There are many factors which contribute to crime including unemployment, drug abuse and greed and the high casualties linked to crime-related incidents is a big concern.

“As all CPF units are there to help the SAPS by being the eyes and ears for them in combating crime it is vital to involve as many people/individuals as possible,” said Pienaar.

“The CPF structures are seen as the go-between for grass root levels and higher structures within the community/businesses and the SAPS.”

In order to run the CPF sponsorship from businesses and individuals it is vital to keep all the structures ticking over.

Businesses in the area are urged to get on board and help make a difference.

“Any individual or business seeking more information about getting involved can contact Pienaar on 072 193 8496.

“A big and honest thank you to all our SAPS members for putting their lives at risk while out on the streets protecting the communities in their various districts, we salute you.

“Lastly I wish everyone a happy and safe festive season, come back at the start of the New Year and take 2017 head on and through your participation put a huge dent in criminal activities,” Pienaar said.
