Police target criminals in Primrose

The Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

Primrose SAPS have continued their efforts to reduce crime in Primrose, with the arrest of 29 suspects.

The arrests were made from November 29 to December 5 according to the latest arrest statistics released by the station.

The 29 suspects were arrested on a number of different charges.

Crimes included: dealing in drugs, possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm; common assault, driving under the influence of alcohol; dealing in liquor without a license; possession of an unlicensed fire arm and live ammunition; fraud, common robbery, theft, shoplifting and contempt of court.

The Primrose police station’s commander, Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons, while others will appear in court soon.
