It has been brought to the attention of the Germiston City News that a woman, who goes by the name of Cindy, is visiting schools in the Germiston area.
She is claiming to be a representative of the GCN.
She is allegedly selling watches, which she claims are sponsored by Jeep and the GCN. Proceeds from the sales allegedly go towards Cansa (specifically CHOC).
She further claims that if schools purchase the watches they will receive a free advertisement for their school in the Germiston City News.
One of the affected schools told the GCN the woman demands a deposit and then does not return with the merchandise. She is then unreachable by phone.
She has allegedly already visited schools in the Lambton and Elsburg areas.
The GCN is not affiliated to this women, nor have we ever had dealings with her and strongly warn the public not to fall for her scheme.
