Team-building fun for patrollers

Primrose Sector Three CPF patrollers recently held a successful team-building event.

It was fun and laughter all the way when the Primrose Sector Three CPF patrollers took part in a team-building event, recently.

The event was held under the theme of “The Amazing Race” and endurance and team spirit were the order of the day as the patrollers embarked on their quest to find 18 ribbons scattered throughout the Primrose Sector Three area.

This was easier said than done.

In order to find these ribbons, they had to decipher cryptic clues that led them to locations where incidents had occurred over the past 12 months.

These incidents varied from crime scenes to calls of distress and broken-down vehicles.

Thrown into the mix were eight tasks, which were both physically and mentally challenging.

The tasks included a “kill house”, a crime scene, purchasing their first aid kit and showing community spirit by packing shopping bags and washing car windows.

Residents assisted by keeping clues and offering the patrollers water as they passed by.

The residents also donated the catering for the patrollers’ year-end function, which took place after the event.

Businesses participated by allowing Sector Three to use their premises for the tasks that were performed.

“It was breathtaking to see a community, patrollers, residents and businesses getting involved to make this a truly awesome team-building event,” said Antonia Robinson, on behalf of Primrose Sector Three.

Primrose Sector Three CPF thanks Primrose Sector Three residents, SAPS, Spidertech Security, St Tent Hire, Paintball City, Uphawu Brand Builders, Standard Bank, Ackermans Pharmacy, Pick n Pay, Shape Your Life Gym, Primhill Engen, First Wychwood Scouts, Primrose Bowling Club, Leslie Jacobs, Tulip House Retirement Village and the Dawnview Homeowners Association for their donations, sponsorships and participation.

A big thank you also goes to the organisers of the event, namely, Antonia Robinson, Chantal Davies, Tina and Tia Moodley, Jane Meyer, Jet Campbell, Janet Gerretson and Shelley Bainbridge, for putting together this spectacular event.
