Know the operating hours at your local swimming pools
Report swimming pools that are closed on days they shouldn’t be.
The holidays are upon us and more people will go for a quick dip and some fun at the local swimming pools.
If you plan on taking a trip to your local pool these holidays, familiarise yourself with the operating hours and avoid unpleasant surprises.
The following swimming pools are open in the Germiston area: Delville, Elsburg, Leondale, Palm Ridge, Primrose, Gerdview and Dinwiddie.
Operating hours:
- Delville Swimming Pool: 5.30am to 8.30pm (Tuesdays to Thursdays); 5.30am to 6pm on Fridays; 10am to 6pm on Saturdays and 2pm to 6pm on Sundays. The pool is closed on a Monday.
- All other pools in Germiston: The pools are closed on Mondays. From Tuesdays to Saturdays they are open from 10am to 6pm and, on Sundays and public holidays, from 2pm to 6pm.
