Lysandra Mogapi (15) , from Delville, was reported missing by her mother, Violet, on October 18. It is alleged that she was last seen leaving her house on October 16, at 6pm. She told no one where she was going and has not returned home. At the time of her disappearance she was wearing brown All Star takkies, a white T-shirt and a black and white skirt.

Residents have been lapping up the long-awaited rain that has been falling over the past few days. Recently the South African Weather Service predicted the rain would continue and released a warning of severe thunderstorms and hot, humid weather.

Water-shedding of the water supply might soon become a reality in Ekurhuleni. During a recent meeting with Clr Tiisetso Nketle, the member of the mayoral committee (MMC) for water, sanitation and energy, it was explained to the Benoni City Times, the GCN’s sister newspaper, that water supply to the metros feeding from the Vaal Dam have been rationed. Nketle confirmed that, as of October 20, the Vaal Dam was 27 per cent full.

The SAPS in Primrose have asked the community to be on the lookout for several vehicles allegedly being used in crimes in the area. Police urged residents to call the Primrose SAPS on 011 842 0548, or Crime Stop on 08600 10111, if they saw the vehicles.

Two lovebirds, students at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) in Mpumalanga, were found lying in a pool of blood after the boyfriend allegedly stabbed his girlfriend and turned the knife on himself on their return from a party.
