Woman allegedly stabs and robs man

A man had to be rushed to hospital after he was allegedly stabbed with a beer bottle and robbed.

A man from the Marathon informal settlement recently opened a case of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm and theft at the Primrose Police Station.

The man claimed that he was at home when a woman, who used to rent a property from him, entered his shack and without saying a word stabbed him with a broken beer bottle.

“The man was taken to hospital for treatment and when he returned home he realised some of his clothes had been taken,” said Sgt Styles Maome.

The police were able to trace the 39-year-old woman and she was arrested.

She has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where the case was postponed for plea and trial.
