Warning: Severe thunderstorms and hot humid weather predicted in parts of Gauteng today
Take the necessary precautions in extreme weather conditions.
Residents have been lapping up the long-awaited rain that has been falling over the past few days.
Today the South African Weather Service predicted the rain would continue this week.
In addition the weather service released the following warnings for Gauteng:
- Severe thunderstorms:
Severe thunderstorms, set to hit between 2pm and 11pm, may bring with them strong damaging winds, and even hail.
- High discomfort values:
Hot and humid weather will result in extremely uncomfortable conditions over some parts of Gauteng
Residents are urged to take precautions when travelling and be sure their vehicles and animals have appropriate shelter.
