Thirty-nine nabbed in Primrose

The Primrose police shared their latest arrest statisitics.

In an on-going effort to crack down on crime in Primrose the Primrose police held a series of operation from October 3 to 9.

During the operations officers arrested 39 suspects.

The accused were charged for several different crimes, including: possession of drugs, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault, dealing in liquor without a licence, theft, rape, housebreaking and theft, business robbery and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Several illegal immigrants were also arrested.

The Primrose police’s acting station commander, Lieut-Col Solly Maswanganyi, thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects have appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court and their cases have been postponed for various reasons, while others will appear in court soon.

The illegal immigrants will be sent to Lindela for deportation.
